Cottage 1 - Rustic Charm and Stargazing Oasis

Designed for those drawn to quiet evenings, star-filled skies, and a cozy, grounded space - this cottage was our very first “baby,” opening in September 2019, just before the world quietly paused. Over time, it has become a favourite for guests looking for a warm, peaceful place to stay in Twizel.

The space has a strong connection to both indoors and out. The overhead stargazing window above the bed allows you to fall asleep beneath the night sky, while the outdoor bath — added in 2022 — offers a simple, memorable way to unwind after a day in the mountains.

Inside, natural timber and soft textures create a cozy, welcoming feel, making it easy to settle in and slow down.

The cottage comfortably sleeps up to three people, with an optional fourth pull-out bed available in the smaller room if needed.
